Text Box: Private Online School Choices Online Academy has a private Kindergarten through12th grade online school that uses the National Education Standards as its benchmark. We provide challenging learning experiences using the Internet, intensive multimedia interaction along with traditional instruction to provide quality alternative learning opportunities in a secure environment. All classes are self paced with individualized instruction and focus on mastery learning. So, you can have class anytime, anywhere and work at your own pace. Every student upon enrollment is given a contact teacher who provides project -based assignments, regular evaluations and assists in developing a digital portfolio for your child. Achievement tests are given each year but are not included in the tuition fees. These standardized tests are provided through an online testing agency for an additional fee. In addition to our regular offerings we provide online tutoring and a grade recovery program which is open to the public. As a fully functioning private school, Choices provide academic counseling, maintain attendance records, digital portfolios, transcripts and diplomas. In addition to our regular class offerings we provide assistive technology resources to students with varying disabilities to allow them the opportunity to engage in dynamic courses and maximize their learning experiences with. And, as an extension of the Private school services, we provide a grade recovery and tutoring program for home-school or public school students needing these services. Click Here to Register Home-School Resource Center Choices Online Academy believes that parents are capable of establishing and maintaining a successful educational program for their child. We simply provide assistance to home-school parents should they want or need it. We provide academic guidance and counseling along with a wealth of resources to support the home educator and the student. We show parent/educators how to establish a home education program and provide all of the necessary materials to be successful at home-schooling your child. In addition, we will provide online classes, tutoring services, portfolios, attendance records and transcript services as needed. Adult Education Program Choices Online Academy Adult Education Program allows adult students the opportunity to pursue a high school diploma in lieu of receiving a GED. The diploma program is designed using a self - paced model. An Academic Advisor and Contact Teacher is assigned for each student to monitor progress and provide assistance as needed. All services that are provided to our Online Private School students and home-school students are also available for adult students seeking a diploma. The graduation requirements are the same as the high school students. Courses can be taken individually on a part time basis or students can be enrolled full time taking up to six courses per term. Classes are conducted Monday through Saturday in five week sessions online. Teachers work individually with adult education students to provide for flexibility around job schedules. You can earn your diploma on your time with the convenience of an online school because you could access your class anytime, anywhere. And, we work with you every step of the way to help you succeed. Workforce technology and job entrance requirements change rapidly and to stay abreast of these changes, it is necessary to occasionally have a refresher course. Choices Online Academy recognizes this need and has an adult enrichment program that provides multi-media enhanced Adult Enrichment courses in the following areas: • Business Computer Technology • Business Writing • Meal Planning and Weight Management Online Tutoring & Test Preparation Choices Online Academy provides affordable online tutoring and test preparation for anyone needing these services. Individuals of all ages may register for tutoring in all of the core subjects. Tutoring is provided on a subscription basis. We offer limited, basic and premium plans for individuals and groups. In addition to our tutoring program, we also offer test preparation courses to the general public. Group discounts are available.
